Early Boat Move

Robert and Shirley Trinski founded Arrow Marine in 1960. At that time it was a full-service "marina"; manufacturing and repairing boat engines. Their son, Michael, helped out the family business, literally starting from the ground up by sweeping floors and greasing engines. In 1966, Arrow began hauling boats for their customers and also for exhibitors at Chicago's annual boat shows. The Trinski's

By 1969, Arrow was hauling pre-cast concrete for their first large account with whom they are still doing business today. Renamed Arrow Marine Transport, they moved to their new location in Fox Lake and expanded their range of services to hauling everything from boats to cement, concrete, sand, gravel, and asphalt for some of the area's most well-known suppliers of these commodities.

In 1975 their son, Michael Trinski, returned to the family business after graduating from Northwestern Military Academy and serving a tour of duty as a Navy helicopter specialist during the Vietnam Conflict. He became the company president in 1978, managing all aspects of Arrow's rapidly growing trucking and transportation business.
